Ever since you walked away.
I bet you have no idea,
How much I hurt that day.

The pain was immense,
And the aching was tough.
I never even thought,
That is heartbreak would be this rough.

You're so near to me,
Yet again so very far.
When im lost in the dark,
You're my guiding star.

Somedays things are ok,
But there's times I want to die.
Sometimes the sadness is unbearable,
And all I seem to do is cry.

You never know what you lost,
Until what you love is gone.
I really cant understand,
What the hell went wrong.

Was I not good enough?
Was it something I said?
Are things better off this way?
Am I better off dead?

I wonder if he thinks about me,
If my face clouds his mind.
Because I know if he knew my thoughts,
It's him that he would find.

I cant seem to eat,
I can no longer sleep.
Because I lost my favorite lover,
For him I daily weep.

I wish I wouldve acted differently,
And maybe things wouldnt have even this way.
If God would allow it,
I rewind back to that day.

Is there something I can do,
To make you love me?
Is there something I can say,
To make us again be?

Things just aren't the same,
