Why can't they realize
That the past is just a memory
You can't change it
No matter how hard you want to
You can just go forword
Memories can't be changed
The only reason someone remembers,
Is so they can prevent the thing to happen again
There is so much you could have done differently,
But you can't
Not untill it happens again
The past is in stone
Don't waste life on what happened
The past can't hurt you anymore
It can't be fixed and it can't be changed
You can't stop from having a past
You can't stop from having a future
The only thing you can change is the direction in life you're going
Stop hiding from the future,
It will find you anyway. [comments] => 3 [counter] => 172 [topic] => 25 [informant] => DesolantDreamer [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => MiscPoems )

I agree. But what you say, I think, is harder done then said for most people. Cause almost anything can throw you back in a memory, and sometimes, you can't stop the emotions. Your right though...and well written.

I like this, very much, and it is sooo true. I don't agree with people trying to forget everything, because then they will make the same mistake again, but they should try to live in the past. Well written!
