Forever gone
Forever loved
He shall be remembered
A great man, an honored pope
Karol Wojtyla
Died in peace
Left many who loved him
Now we pray
And recognize
All he has done
From Poland
He was a first
Traveled around the world
Helped all
Christian or Jewish
Poor or Wealthy
African or Indian
He taught us many things
To love one another
For life passes us too quickly
He was much more
Than just a pope
He was a man,
A man with a passion
And full of love
He was the one, the only
Pope John Paul II

Right on... I am not a Catholic but this Pope
did a lot for the world and he stood up for his
beliefs which makes him worthy of my
respect. The world needs more people like
him and he will certainly be missed, but I am
sure he died with no regrets. A beautiful
tribute thanks for sharing this with us.

I am not myself Catholic either, but that hardly matters, for John Paul II was a great human being. I doubt the Vatican will find another such man to fill his shoes, and that is sad. He has gone on to a great reward, however, and the world was blessed by having such a person, for a while.

Well written, and welcome to YPDC. I hope you enjoy yourself, and benefit.

Andrew
