On my way home from daily life
Not at all stressed out
When I --again-- hit a red light

Above the lake an eagle
Soars high up in the sky
Closer to me, sea gulls
Swoop swiftly as they glide

I'm content and I notice
I capture their neat scene
And once they're out of sight
The light turns red to green

I crane my neck around back
To see if I can see
But they're gone now
It's just like they flew there...
Just for little old me

I notice and it's special
A smile upon my face
At the glimpse that graced my presence
And vanished without a trace. [comments] => 6 [counter] => 235 [topic] => 27 [informant] => liquidsunshine [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 10 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => NaturePoetry )

A lovely and fitting title.

You have shared a very special moment with us. Maybe the eagle and seagulls will return. If they do you must write about them again. You did a great job composing this one.
