[bodytext] => The fires are burning in my shattered heart, Once again they die out as we are forced apart, But for those moments or hours that I am with you, The fires burn like the sun and it gets me through, Without your presence and your radiant love, I’m cold again; both empty and bleak like the skies above, I feel the greatest pain when I am with you; it is the fears of the past, You make me feel so special and so free, but I know it cannot last, Every time you walk away from me I suffer another death, But I do not die, I merely await the day you allow me another breath, When I am alone I have nothing, I am useless and cold, But with you I feel wanted and it gives me the strength to be bold, But we are never together and when we are it can never last, My love for you is killing me; I don’t know how much longer I can last, My strength is gone, my fear is immense, In your arms I am invincible, my passion is intense, In your arms my heart is reborn; my soul is once again free, But my heart dies again as again you walk away from me, Your smile warms my soul but tears a cavern in my heart, For soon we will be apart again, lost before we even start, As I look into your eyes I see no fear, no hatred, not even any pain, But my time with you never lasts and my hope for it is sending me insane, The fires of my shattered heart extinguished once more, lost to mere dust, So in the shadows of your absence I become cold and forgotten, my heart that once shone so brightly has now turned to rust. And so I am lost in a void of silence and shadow, veiled by heartless fear, There I shall remain; pondering loneliness until before me you reappear, But I will gladly endure if it means you will return for my love and care, Should the day come where your love matches mine, I will be waiting, and only you will know where.
