Kiss Goodbye

Topic: oops

I'm your hero from within
not sure where to begin
but you were right
I do cry at night

I think of what I did
No confession, I ran and hid
Blinded by my fury
my eyes hot and teary

In the nighttime darkness
I went to bury the carcus
but when i dug up the lawn
that invisible body was gone

She grabbed my arm
not meaning any harm
pulled for me to follow
i fought the tears with a swallow

Smack...across the face
no more warm embrace
my imagination was gone
before the break of dawn

She told me I had run
and hilucinations from the sun
made me think weird things
like swimming in the springs

there was no body there
not a body anywhere
i didn't kill him
it was all very dim

my eyes were burning
i slowly started turning
not knowing where to go
my journey was long and slow

no more of this
not even one more kiss
you made me wild
for once in my life i felt like a child.
