Soft whispering, tales of the dead flowing in the wind,
Flirtatious stars above me,
Winking down upon the restless...

I search endlessly for my mother,
My luminous muse...
Has she yet to rise and languish in her mighty throne?
Or is she lost within the jealous black faces,
Cruel and envious of her radiance?

In defeat, they ebb away,
Bowing to her ghostly splendor...
How they cringe in her presence,
My pallid queen, she is tyrant over all...

Oh, could I ever compare to thy beauty,
Sweet mistress of the Night?
My love, my endless inspiration,
Weep your diamond tears that all adore,
Drown me in your divine pallor,
Sacrifice your dazzling light onto me,
So I may paint a picture,
Of Night's many splendors...

Adorned in gowns of cerulean sins,
The world is at your mercy,
Do as you please...

Bittersweet illusion, bearer of infinite children,
Embrace me,
Your eternal slave,
And make me as one of your own...
Child of the Night...

Precious moon,
Shine upon me your timeless legacy,
And I shall sing your sweet melody,
Of Beauty and Decay...
The tales of Night and Day...
