Decadence eats your flesh
While dreams burn like forest fires behind your eyes
Days pass by without a single thought worth thinking
Time slips through your fingers
And you watch it go full of regret
Leaving the bitter taste of ashes
Where kisses once held you spellbound
Air thickens with words unspoken
Your eyes unable to focus where they belong
Landscape so painfully dull with the familiar
Your hands trace the veins in your arms
Pain stabs the back of your head and you sigh
Because maybe there are no tomorrows
How will you sum up your existence now
With only this to recommend you
