I am writing you to ask you a question
why can't you sleep at night
how many thoughts are in your head
your beautiful but melancholy;
if I could I swear I would
take your pain away;
will you please tell me why
you never really smile
what can I do to help us
get through this horrible phase;
I know obsession is a sin
but I feel you underneath my skin
sometimes you haunt me
I won't give up till I earn your trust
no matter what your apart of me
and we must stay together
one day we'll fly away just you and I
I'm just trying to get through to you
tell me why you never smile
you funny, funny girl
how come you won't let him stay
do it for me if not yourself
maybe he really is good for us
I'll do anything just to see you smile
why won't you smile?
