Will be turning off my emotional co-processor and just get by with my logic and reason processors from now on. Never again! [bodytext] => I stayed out all alone
in the darkened candlelight
left there on my own
to languish in my plight.

Hiding in the shadows
are cold uneaten meals
what remains of lost echoes
of what used to be real.

A single rose still stands
in the vase of what was
but it is blackened to the stem
a symbol of hurt and loss.

I sat there all alone
at a table meant for two
crying on my own
upon memories of you.

In the darkened candlelight
as it danced its faded gleam
I cried out my bleeding heart
at the loss of hope and dream. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 204 [topic] => 43 [informant] => Baronhawk [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 20 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Aloneness dear Baronhawk can be very scary! No distractions, no noise, our thoughts keep us captive, all alone in solitude, a very difficult state for we humans in these troubled times, as if ghosts decline at the table, and whisper their wishes aloud!
This is terribly sad, but can also be remembered by me your friend. Alone, and silent in my thoughts, can bring grief, sadness, and sometimes madness. Beware!
As if our souls run parallel or close side by side, Baronhawk.........you can always take me where I would like to go.
Write more and more........your heart is filled to the brim with the finest of poet whims!
Warm Love
Lovingcritters

Well now good sir!
I find your emotional processor rather intriging.
Actually...I like it!

You can turn it back on anytime.
