Has it been only eight days
Since I’ve picked up the knife
Only eight days
Since I’ve released my strife
Just eight lengthy days

This is such a sad poem, Jennie. While I and others always want you free of the knife, I think we forget that it is not easy for you. Yes, like the other poster said, one moment at a time. Go from one to the next. Don't look ahead or back, just deal with the present. Breaking habitual behavior is hard and there's obviously no patch for it, but you have your poetry and your music and ppl who care for you. You've gone 8 days, which shows you do want this. In as much as I and others can be, we are with you in this.
