When I wake

I may not know much
but I know that I love you.
Every morning I wake up without you,
I feel this emptiness inside my heart
that can only be filled by your presence,
your warmth, and your touch.
My days are so long without you.
Every second seems like a minute,
every minute seems like a hour,
and every hour seems like a day.
At night, When I lay to sleep
I ball up in my bed and weep,
because you're not here with me.
The only thing I can do
is close my eyes and fantasize
that your laying beside me,
holding me in your arms.
But when I wake
I wake to an empty room,
a room that is cold and gloomy without you.
I feel as if I'm drowning...
suffocating in a pool of loneliness.
I may not know much
But I know that I love you
and my love will never end
and I will find no joy or meaning in this world
until I'm back in your arms again.

| I really like the style of this poem and how it flows. I know exactly how you feel. I wake up every morning feeling the exact same thing. Here's to wishing the person comes back to you soon and everything works out. |
