The souls slip through the cracks
in the city
their sadness calls out
crying in the night
live life,
love
live life
they echo through
the silence, through the noise
they echo through
my heart
i reach out
trying to grasp
their meaning,
their faith
they slip away
as spirits do
yet they whisper
even louder
live life,
love

love
my heart hears
but do my ears?
