Its daunting secrets locked within
Away from eagerly prying eyes
As malicious thoughts enveloped of sin.

Whispering thoughts floating in the air
Alive with hatred and spite,
The photo spilling malevolence in every way
Clear to endanger any soul in sight.

Though the vibrancy of light could be seen
A feeling of blackness still descends,
The horrors of the photo unleash its desires
That the spirits do not make amends.

As the perfumes of the aroma sink in
Into the ghostly, sweet-smelling air,
The light casting deep shadows on the walls
Entwining feelings of the specters, forlorn and bare.

The radiance of the atmosphere
Filled with tension and thoughts of insight,
The photo still spilling out haunting spells
Full of malice into the eeriness of the night

The cracking flames engulf the snapshot
Its temper rising as it hungrily sought at its best,
Swirling in and out of the angry blaze
The photo withered down and gently lay to rest.

As the last of the picture turned to ash
It memories only to be remained by the fire,
The surroundings once again became peaceful
As the last of its thoughts turned to desire.

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
