Array ( [sid] => 94178 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Billy's Oblivion [time] => 2005-05-12 16:32:00 [hometext] => Havent been on in a few months, eh what can i say? i missed it. ^_^ anyway so you should read my poem. [bodytext] => Billy took my heart and blew it all away
Watched it tear out of my chest on a rainy summers day
The raindrops weighed its light wings down
And Billy watched it fall
I wish id never met that boy named billy at all.

Billy took my eyes and kept them for a while
I gave him my innocent heart while he lent me his charming smile
We walked the town on warm nights,  our senses all ablaze
But heart for eyes or eyes for heart, never  seemed such a fair trade…..

Billy took my wrist and sliced it unknowingly
Lead me down a dauntless path and never looked back for me
The last thing I remember, watching my chiffon rip
Billy never did realize the strength of his own grip

Billy took my mind and left it all alone
Didn’t touch a thing, as it was all set in stone
But that was just the wrong thing, just the wrong thing for me
There was so much in those dark caverns that I wanted billy to see

Billy went through all the motions, did everything just right
Too bad he forgot to love me after using me that night.
I thought he’d check to see if I had fallen behind,
But he never shared a caring glance, he didn’t seem to mind

So Billy killed me coldly, though he meant it all in good fun
Offered me his hand, thought it turned out to be a gun
Said he’d save my soul, though he sent it straight to hell
I guess I  really didn’t know that billy boy all that well…..

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
