Creator Holy Spirit come and fill
The hungry hearts of men upon this earth,
Your fire’s flames defeat the cold and chill
And stir to life the embers of the hearth.

Creator Spirit,- He Who gently broods,
And ceaselessly inspires and creates,
Who nurtures, breathing, seedling plants and shoots,
And kindles, fosters, lures and animates.

Afflatus Spiritus Who fostering lifts
And raises what is weak to fortitude,
Bestow on us your nine effulgent gifts,
And breathe on them to yield abundant fruit.

Spirit of Understanding, Wisdom, Love,-
Enflame and rouse the wavering tepid hearts,
Inspiring mover!- hovering like a dove,
Heal, cleanse and seal the festering wounds and smarts.

Spirit of God - you champion of the poor,
Defender, Councilor and Advocate,
For the afflicted, Lord, provide a cure,
And stir, regenerate and animate!

Sustain the hopeless faltering that grope,
And cannot cope with burdens’ weight and strain,
Fill hopeless aching human hearts with hope.
And comfort in adversity and pain.

Breathe wind divine and make the wind abound,
Recover, hover, cover and abide,-
Afflatus Spiritus, our being’s ground,
True God of God, eternal Light of Light.

My dear friend ED.
Oh my ED this touched my heart to no end
The beautiful music combined with your lovely words, and sentiment behind it was so touching, so kind, so compassionate. You are a wonder my dear friend. Expressing just right emotions at the right time is your gift. And when you have a gift from God you should always share with others...He uses us all to being beauty into the lifes of others...and you are so blessed to be share, because that way you are bringing beauty into your heart also!
This was just magnificent dear ED......I must have missed it the first time around.
Warm love and blessing

I’ve had a horrible night. I got out of bed an hour later than normal to try to get my usual days routine in play. Then like a blessing from God . . . the first thing I read is this beautiful rendition of Hope from the heart and soul of a dear friend assuring me that everything, as usual, will be fine if I pay more attention to the Holy Spirits message within my heart, than to the unimportant pains of body.

An instant cure, Elizabeth! I can not eliminate pain, but I can listen and conform. The message, once heeded, is the relief sought. Pain can jumble the mind; The Holy Spirit can, and does, restore and renew all things when allowed.

Your usual ‘masterfully written’ gift to the world. My thoughts, and my prayers, for your continued ability to bring beauty and hope to those who follow your writings for many, many more years.

John
