Love Strengthens - Doesn't it Weaken?

I have to find my strength again
But Im sorry I cant confide in my friends
i used to be strong, beautiful, and compassionate,
but everything has changes since those times I felt like being affectionate
My emotions have grown weak
Hungering for more as I speak
It is so hard to go on for this length of time
Searching for you love to give me strength that I can't find
But I'm confused
Isnt it my love that weakens me and makes me feel emotionally abused
Isnt love the only reak weakness we feel
Or is it love that strengthens us and helps us to heal?
When you have love you feel it will last for eternity,
And you feel what true happiness could really be
The way I felt when I was with you
You gave me strength and power too,
And now we're not together and it's like I can't survive
I feel like the only way to get by is to strive
I really dont understand - Trust
Love strengthens, yet it weakens us

| It isn't love that weakens...it is the illusion and desire for love that weakens...that's why there are so many battered women out there...they need and want love so badly...and don't understand what it is |

| i love ur poem and i used to ask myself the same question till i found my answer although it may not b the answer 4 others. For me love strengthens but its not being loved back that weakens. |
