Down in green and fertile valleys
Past the rivers running wild
'Neath the shadows of the mountains
I have walked with nature's child
Under skies of purest blue
Through the fields kissed by the sun
With the innocence of youth
There in bare feet we have run

Raven hair blown by the wind
Hear her laughter in the breeze
Like a song sent from the Gods
From across the placid seas
Spirits free and still untamed
Bearing not the worldly scars
We are brethren to the moon
We are children of the stars

That was gorgeous in my humble opinion. The beautiful connections
you made between nature and people, and the innocence I felt in it.
Your word choice really made this poem... awesome work, I loved
reading it!

Such fluidity. I wish we all still had the innocence of children playing freely with each other, not knowing of hate or bigotry or race. children of the universe with the loving protective mother guiding us. I wish ...

images in this poem it was just perfection
and I was left hungering for more.

Exquisite, Larry! This really grabbed me. I have to confess... I've been here a few times before... read this, at least a dozen... and still... don't think I can adequate convey what it is about this that tugs at me so.

Carried away by this,

~Snem~
