Such was the case of a man killed by hate
Set in front of the world who told him he had no soul

He said

Tears fall from my eyes
And I long to die
Free me of this pain
That never goes away
What am I to do
I have everything to lose

His wife and kids sat still in tears
They knew he did no harm he was gentle and calm
A great man in their eyes confused why he was despised

And he said

Tears fall from my eyes
Why am I despised
I did nobody wrong
In this court I don't belong
My kids see my pain
They see the other sides hate

The prosecution screamed that he was a killing machine
He had no feelings at all so he had to take the fall
Of another mans misdeed for the facts were all they could see

And he thought

Tears fall from my eyes
I committed no crime
My speeches are all that they see
Why won't they believe
I thought times had changed
They spun the opposite way

The judge bellowed out loud and silence over came the crowd
With the stillness in the air he was called to the witness chair
To give him his only chance to prove his innocence

He sang

Tears fall from my eyes
I have nothing to hide
Look at what you have done
A man will die who did no wrong
Yet you will sit and applaud
At the innocents quiet fall

The courtroom became still you would hear if pin fell
Then the court gave the ruling and justice was kicked out screaming
I will die quietly for no once hears the innocents plea

And I sing

Tears fall from my eyes
I long to die
Free me of this pain
That never goes away
All I ever did
Was teach you how to live

Watch me die
Watch me die
Close your eyes
As I pass away from you
Close your eyes
Don't look at what you did do
Close your eyes
I will be gone tonight
Close your eyes

Another loses life

I could see this as Jesus on the cross.. perhaps another will lose their life if they do not repent, other than that.. we gained life because of His death. Well, this is where I am in life.. I just focus on God, Jesus.. so naturally I will see only the light in a poem.

Albeit....

Lovely write. Terrific title

Your ideas and thoughts are expressed well in this write, very coherent, everything connects

Your write follows in a nice pattern, great direction

Sharp sentences, strong staccato

Full sounds and rhythm, deep human cadences
