Array ( [sid] => 95203 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Lost [time] => 2005-05-21 00:31:58 [hometext] => This poem is dedicated to my hero, Kurt Cobain, and other people who had a major effect on my life. R.I.P. Kurt, I will never forget. [bodytext] => Where is the soul of Kurt Cobain?
He neither burnt out nor faded away.
In the words he wrote and notes he played,
Not in the ground where his body lays.

Where is the mind of Tupac Shakkur?
Since he left there has been no more.
A pioneer, a much needed voice.
He left us without another choice.

Where are the ideals of Richard Marx?
Values of equality and freedom from narcs.
Ahead of his time, their minds were too small.
But his words will be there when this era falls.

Where is the love of John Lennon?
We need his peace, now more than ever.
Protest war then, Complain about it now.
We all want to stop it, but he knew how.

Where is the soul of Kurt Cobain?
He left it to us and for future days.
The gift of escape for pain-ridden minds.
Why was he here for such a short time?

The question is not "Where?"
But "Why?" [comments] => 1 [counter] => 162 [topic] => 55 [informant] => say_hello_2_heaven1990 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 0 [ratings] => 0 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => dedicatedpoems )
