on lambent wings
bearing angellic names

And for each carries a tale

For Raphael
my host of the dawn
burned me with his light
and left me without a voice
except to cry out in silence

Uriel
my shrouded knight of the deep
drug me into darkness
and fed me on ash
though I drank willingly
knowing that I shared his damnation

Gabriel, my Gabriel
his merciful arms opened
so sure of his own salvation
that he offered it to me
with kisses and secret embraces
where I was enfolded in his wings
and wept for the music I heard

And though I have known
the love of gods
I falter still

Longing for the whisper
of the ethereal
my brilliant generals
and their immortal promises

I am still brought to my knees
craving mercy and stillness
from memories of angels.

This was absolutely gorgeous. Showed a lot of feeling, and I totally felt
that my life had similar experiences, though perhaps that's all in how
I interpret this. This was a well rounded all around wonderful poem that is
one of my favorites of all I've read. Awesome work.

I agree with Kara. Gorgeous.
Blu, you need to be doing more with your writing-publish it, get it out for everyone to read.
I guarantee there is an audience for what you have to say.

I love this piece-anguished yet beautiful

Kayan
