He puts a smile on my face but he also puts me through hell
It's funny how I can't seem to say goodbye
Even though heart and mind I do try.

He was always commenting on how good I looked
That may be one thing that actually got me hooked
But he don't want my emotional part
He was just after my body right from the start.

I'm not attracted to him that way
It's only his friendship that's making me stay
But now his had enough of having to wait
And his desire has turned into hate.

He saw the guy I was with the other day
This guy doesn't treat me that way
My friend knew I was never his girl
And he has no reason for his anger to unfurl.

Now I've lost a friend even though I don't know why
Our friendship seemed to be one big lie
I can't believe people can be like this
Out of that friendship there will be things I will miss.

There will be things i don't understand
Especially about the things that got out of hand
And why I was I was treated this way
And why I've got to be the one to pay.

This is so sad, you know all to often i will not allow myself to get close to anyone, i run from the very thought that someone is getting to close to me, why? it scares me, this very thing, among being stabbed in th e back, it's a very hard thing to go through and this is very painful.....my heart is right there my friend, i really think you should try talking to your friend though because as time has passed i realize more now that everyone doesnt do things in this way and perhaps you could understand eachother just a little better and leave things on a better note if they cannot be worked out.....those are just my thoughts.....i hope everything works out for you my friend...
