In the darkness did I chance
There to catch a fleeting glance
In Moonshadows did she dance
By the low and dimming light

Barely then my eyes could see
Was she there or was it me
Wishing for what couldn't be
Angel savior come tonight

Vision from the past it seems
As vaguely remembered dreams
Pirouetting in moonbeams
Raven hair blown by the breeze

Once a love I used to know
Twirling, swaying to and fro
Memories of long ago
Flood my heart like raging seas

Is she real or just illusion
Just a tired mind's delusion
On I gazed in such confusion
Do I dare to call her name

Or should I in silence stand
Disobey my hearts command
Fight the urge to touch her hand
Cower in my fear and shame

As Moonshadows faded slowly
This unworthy man and lowly
Prayed to all that he holds holy
Let this be my wish come true

But with sighs and falling tears
As the light of morning nears
Silently she disappears
Gone, Moonshadows, dreams and you

Larry this was beautiful. It was just so
mindboggling I'm not really sure what to say. I
must say that you are definitely NOT
unworthy though. Keep up the awesome
writing brother.

A mystical and beautiful write with great imagery. Ah, the appeal of dream or fantasy, often more appealing then reality. This poem is so graceful, wonderful flow.

Another high class poem, sir

Will

Larry, I'm glad you still write beautiful poems like always. The poem flowed really well and I absolutely love the imagery. Nicely written. :)

Oh my.

This one goes straight to my core, Lar.

Dare. Just... do. Every minute of every day, beneath and between each and every moonbeam's shadow. Dare - if only to ensure you never miss your chance at... it.

Feeling very close to this,
~Snem~

Oh if I could write like this .. it takes my breath away and I'm in tears. I feel a pain deep in your heart .. you always move me .. I've missed reading you .. I wish you'd post more .. but you always were quality over quantity ..lol. I write reams .. anyway this was lovely; sometimes I think you're a woman .. or a man with a woman's heart. I so love ... your writing.
