"follow your heart, let it find you happiness"

Your Heart can't find you happiness, you find it yourself. Your Heart doesn't always lead you to happiness. Sometimes if you follow your heart, it might take down a road of pain. If you do follow your heart, listen to your head first. Sometimes what your mind tells you is the right thing.

Your right nothing is impossible if you want it badly enough, and believing in yourself is sometimes all it takes. Although, it's true the heart does sometimes lead you down the wrong path, if you didn't follow that road you might always regret it. So, which one is worse? Only you can decide that. Good poem. Wonderful poem.
I agree with Safireshadow a little bit.
Your heart does not always lead you down the right path or make the right choices,
however in my case and many others, my heart has always made the best choice for me.
THnx

Obviously a thought provoking poem given the comments on it. I might as well give it a try. Before I read any of the comments, I was inspired by the poem. Let's ignore the first 2 and last 2 lines for a second or two. The content within that area is pure inspiration. It banishes negativity and encourages. Whether it is true or not is often a function of our own effort. Comments that deny that veracity have to be labeled negative. Content on love: right on the money. Same is true for friendship (I think love and friendship, while different, are certainly linked). Hope may be the sustenance that keeps us reaching for those heights. Everything you say is great.

Now, lets get to the heart of the matter. Namely follow your heart, it will lead you to happiness. Will following our heart always lead us to happiness. No. But while you said will you did not say always. That implies a conditionality on the leading to happiness. It is not automatic. But, it is implied, that following one's heart is a prerequisite to being led to happiness. Can we be happy if we don't follow our heart? I would say no. When we strictly follow an agenda based on rationality, we will ultimately find emptiness (my opinion). One might postulate that happiness can be defined as the ideal state of having followed one's heart.

So, can we be unhappy if we follow our heart? Sure we can. If we do not temper our heart's wishes with some rationality, we will fail in our quest for happiness. Let's say I tell myself that I can't be happy unless I get a date with Jennifer Garner (which isn't going to happen). If pursuing that agenda, as in following my heart, I am going to be unhappy. So, maybe it comes to balance, where rationality must impose some kind of limits on emotional fulfillment. But happiness is very obtainable if we supply the necessary rational components and efforts in our pursuit of our heart's desires.

Why the tirade? Frankly, I didn't agree with a blanket statement that following our heart will not always lead to happiness. I thought it to easy to take that point of view without sufficient meditation on the issue. Of course, I didn't expect Jennie to say all of this in a poetic work. It is just that it is implied on reflection, and the poem works for me on this reasonable criteria I have mentioned.

5 stars my friend. Because I can't give you more. Well, here's some more.
