Sadly, she turned her head away
the pain too much to bear
She couldn't go on living
Life hadn't been quite fair

But it was right in front of her
if she would only peek
She knew that courage left her
So she stared, at her own feet

Too many days, too many nights
She'd dare not count them all
For her to go on living
Would be a blasphemy of soul

So quietly she stood now
A glint in pale moonlight
Quickly, then a stinging burn
A gasp,as she slipped from life.

Her Guilt

Sadly, she turned her head away
the pain too much to bear
She couldn't go on living
Life hadn't been quite fair

But it was right in front of her

She knew that courage left her
So she stared, at her own feet

Too many days, too many nights
She'd dare not count them all
For her to go on living
Would be a blasphemy of soul

So quietly she stood now
A glint in pale moonlight
Quickly, then a stinging burn
A gasp,as she slipped from life.

Warm love
Lovingcritters

excellent write, carol. what brought me to this was the title, since i feel guilty over petty things. from your first stanza to the last, it was a good read.
