The one that chews a hole in the wall of curiosity
That you always seem to climb through,
And get lost in its complex answers
That never seem to end.
So you walk…
You walk upon your principles…
They seem to have changed now…
Suffering from what is a cruel reality
Nibbling away at what you thought was right
But things have changed now…
The wall has been replaced.
Curiosity was frozen
For the sake of fear.
Until once more the fear steps aside,
And you take another bite out of
That freshly placed wall
And digest what it has to offer. [comments] => 6 [counter] => 220 [topic] => 43 [informant] => Pyrofungus [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 5 [ratings] => 1 [editpoem] => 0 [associated] => [topicname] => oops )

Excellent write. Forgive me but I read it more as song lyrics.... I truly like this piece. Kudos.

5 stars~!
The first line is an excellent introduction.
Catchy, yet genuine and not at all gimicky!
I absolutely love the use of personification, here.... it is totally mind blowing.
And the metaphors are excellent!
It is highly convoluted.
Perplexing at times...yet I love the challenge!
Excellent work :)

it is so true that we are often motivated by fear and curiosity. Good poem.

wow thats a very interesting poem
not only for the reason that i could relate
but the wall of curiosity
it makes me think
like when one of my friends is crying
i am curious to know
but they hide in fear
i like this poem a lot
