The arcanian moon intensified-
Ebony skies. Illuminating sanguinary-
Haze that blankets the mossy terrain.
Suddenly a faint amorous tune-
Emerges from beneath her balcony-
Window, harmony quoted string by string.
Deadicated to the hypnotized inamorata listening.
Mistress nears with arms to-
Embrace the ledge. Déjà vu.
Overture ravaging thoughts.
Static, she stops in mid-stride. He continues.
Eyes atrophy, narcosis. Lips-
Splinter bleeding into mouth ajar.
Skin pallid now, pavenine tint.
Hands withered and clutching ether.
Post-mortem
Paramour still plays and-
Fills her chaste mind with-
Morose longings. Too ethereal-
To swallow whole, wind through lovers’ souls.
Death-grip upon the algid wings of-
Gargoyles. Sentinel on railings.
Unworldly, she elevates to the summoning-
Edge. Perching, arms out-stretched, jump.
Wind lapping, lapping fast.
Descent into his arms.
His strephonade, her gravity.
Ensnared in folds of gauzy textile wings.
Protruding from her bosom,
Staff-like guitar, still-
Pulsing its eulogy to-
Corpus maiden resting on-
Aghast amorist.
