Array ( [sid] => 9828 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Understand Your World [time] => 2003-01-06 00:20:00 [hometext] => Found this last night. It was in my writing and had my name on it, but I don't remeber writing it. Must have been a couple of years ago at least. If you can figure out what it's about, please tell me. :) [bodytext] => Your world, it's new to me
I can't get through to see
You (without your world).
How can I hope to lend a hand to,
When I can't understand you,
Or your world.

I'm sort of scared of you
But it's not really you, it's
Your world.
I've never seen before, or
Met someone from your world.

Because I love you, I'll try hard as I can
To maybe understand
'Cuz then maybe I can reach you
And maybe then, teach you
And you can teach me
In your world. [comments] => 4 [counter] => 171 [topic] => 25 [informant] => thorns [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 9 [ratings] => 2 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => MiscPoems )

Very nice, Thorns. Well, as near as I can figure out, you wrote this for somebody new in your life, whom you were attracted to, whom you wanted to love, and at the same time were afraid of. It's the excitement of the new and at the same time the fear of the unknown. You realized the advantage of putting your fears aside, for the rich rewards of expanding yourself with learning new experiences that love provides.

...it does seem like it was someone new in your life; a passing fancy I would say as you do not remember it; And the part about my world/ your world : this may be off but it is what I see.. I have friends all over the world and 2 of them speak in russian which is foriegn to me.. beautiful language, touchingly they translate my poetry to come into my world and I to theres ..what would happen if we actually crossed the boundaries of country? I would feel like your poem, a little worried and in the unknown of something new..sorry so long but you did ask my friend lol
