Array ( [sid] => 9847 [catid] => 1 [aid] => Mick [title] => Dancing Queen [time] => 2003-01-06 06:00:00 [hometext] => My tribute to a beautiful young lady, who's had me mesmerised since my mid-teens, when she appeared as a plumber!
I can dream!!;-)
The style of my writing in this poem changes after the third stanza, I do hope this doesn't make it illegible! It's just the way it came out of my head and I didn't want to alter it too much! [bodytext] => Everyday your presence flows from my screen
Most beautifully graceful dancing queen
So sexy your flicks on MTV
Feels like you create these just for me

The face of an angel and body to match
The others on you have got no patch
Your voice I find so hard to describe
Inducing floods of passionate vibes

From whence we were both in our teens
You've been residing nightly in my dreams
First sight when through the window you came
Into memory was etched your Bohemian name.

On my digital television set
Your pixels so sensually writhe,
With perfect display of loveliness
I'd simply love you to be my bride!

Your image flickering shadows
On my pale walls each night,
For my sore eyes you definitely are
The most wonderfully soothing sight!

I sometimes truly wonder
If you're possible to be,
Or dreamt up somewhere Downunder
To hypnotise the likes of me?

Thankyou for entertaining
And thankyou for your songs,
I'd also like to say thankyou
For wearing those tiny thongs!!

In the flesh I've never met you
Or your hand been offered to feel,
So I guess I'll just keep dreaming
That my dancing queen's for real.

I'd walk the surface for you
From Mongolia to Kentucky,
My soul desires a place in your heart
For this 'I should be so lucky'! [comments] => 7 [counter] => 276 [topic] => 38 [informant] => Unaekseveer1 [notes] => [ihome] => 0 [alanguage] => english [acomm] => 0 [haspoll] => 0 [pollID] => 0 [score] => 14 [ratings] => 4 [editpoem] => 1 [associated] => [topicname] => Tributes )

This is a beautiful poem. It is nice to some people still put so much emotion into their poetry.

Dean, This is a very beautiful and well written poem. I have also had some one from TV in my dreams for as long as I can remember, but he isn't a singer. He is a wrestler. I enjoyed reading this one.

"Dancing Queen" and "a plumber"? That's an odd combination-mine's one of my mentors.
Never mind-I'm giving you an enthusiastic 3 out of 5.

Awww. This was sweet. Just love those celebrity fantasies. :-) I saw a couple of places where your spaces didn't get in. Other than those, it seems just great! Cheers!
