[title] => Pain With Honor
[time] => 2005-06-18 12:53:44
[hometext] => This is a poem that I wrote about my adopted
[bodytext] => Why? That’s all that comes to mind. Maybe God had a place for a new star, One that would really shine. If that is what he wanted He picked the right person for the part. You had a special way to brighten my day, And always warm my heart. People say, “She’s in a better place.” But that doesn’t help the pain. I think, “she’s supposed to be here with me, Without her it’ll never be the same.” It’s selfish of me to feel that way Because you were suffering. You may not be here, But where you are relief it brings. I love you very much, As family not just a friend. I take on this pain with honor, Because when mine began your came to an end. You are not replaceable. You were one of a kind. Remembering is not all sadness. A lot of good times stand out in my mind. Just because you’re not here physically Doesn’t mean that we’re apart. As long as I carry your memory You’ll be with me in my heart. I will never forget you! It didn’t want the fun to end. I just need to remember that next time I see you, We can start all over again.
