where rapid heart beats
threatened to burst from my chest..
then sounds the drip:

one at a time.. then again..

liquid glass and ruby drops
fall in my reflection..
this last sight

silence.. deathly still
I see ripples frozen in time
a slow pounding echo
as the drops plummet
downward like red rain..
pulled from me
by some invisible force
collecting in a crimson puddle-

they've crucified me..

blood flows freely
swallowing me whole
like the dismal of past
so out I've been cast..
thrown from all I've known

mouth agape.. I'm gasping
but there's no sound..
no whisper..
no cries or screaming decree..
just the inaudible splash
of each red drip
one...two...three

my scream on mute-

"The only thing you do RIGHT is bleed!"
evil laughter ringing in my ears..

closer to me:
"You want some MORE?!"
their breath comes in septic waves..
I sink to the floor
weary notions of realization hit..
'what's been done?'
I think to myself..
as everything goes black-

The new day dawns
with dancing reminders of a dark truth..
as I stagger to-
and put on my best..
behind my broken smile.

Splendid work, but such darkness, my friend. Remember the light is out there and you can search for it. I am here if you need someone to talk to.

This was so expressive and very sad. I hate that your feeling this way I've been there too I'm there right now and it really sucks. I write my best when I'm hurting though, and I think this was great.

Hello Man_On_ High:

My mind focused fast on the crucifixion of our LORD.

He went through this, and much more.. Nothing He didn't go through, that we won't go through.

I pray I wake up in the morning; its a start.. and being able to start over a new .. brand new day..
Reminders are good.. Once you remember them, you say.. aha.. and go on..

Keep smiling, it goes a long way..

Your smile may not be returned to you by its original owner, yet it will come back to you from another.. smile that was sent out and boomeranged.

Be yourself.. be real, and that is all there is to do.. be kind and let the LORD do the rest.. simple is good..

Wow, this was something I enjoyed. The end there was good,
but as a whole it was good too. I know how that darkness feels.
Awesome write.

~*Billy*~
This struck me so deep. It reminds me of depression and how one puts on a smile and pretends that everything's okay, but it's not. Keep smiling my friend and never give up. Life is full of ups and downs. Even though the down days seem more. You have been through so much, but u are a born fighter ~*Billy*~ God has blessed u with the amazing gift of writing. You have the natural ability to convey ur thoughts through ur pen.
May ur heart never ever see another day of sorrow my dear friend.
A dark, deep and heartfelt write penned by a very extraordinary and remarkable poet.
Much love and big heartfelt hugs from ur devoted fan/friend,
~*sue*~

"The only thing you do RIGHT is bleed!"

The most heart-wrenching line I've read to date on here. Billy, this is a truly
tortured piece and positively dripping with pathos. I fear my repitition may
begin to make my comments appear somewhat insincere, but I am ever
astounded and humbled by your wisdom and emotion of thought.

You move me in ways only true poetry can. It is both a privilege and an
honour [yes, with a "u" lol ], to be able to appreciate both your work and you.

Ever touched; ever humbled; ever grateful am I.

~Breezy
