Array ( [sid] => 99012 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => i'm sorry mommy [time] => 2005-06-22 19:57:21 [hometext] => My mom isn't like this... all the time, i wrote this when we were having a bad week. [bodytext] => I’m sorry I’m not perfect mom.
I’m sorry that we fight.
I’m sorry I don’t eat for days.
I’m sorry I can’t sleep at night.

I’m really sorry mommy,
That I let my grades slip this year.
I’m sorry I’m not what you want me to be,
“Perfect”, with a smile from ear to ear.

I’m sorry that I’ll never be,
The dream daughter you’ve always wanted.
I’m sorry that by every single one of my flaws,
You are constantly haunted.

I’m sorry that I scream back mommy,
Whenever you scream at me.
I’m sorry that I wish you’d hit me,
Instead of your screaming.

I’m so, so, sorry mommy,
That you have to tell everyone what I’ve done.
I’m sorry you pay for therapy mommy,
I know it’s not much fun.

I’m sorry that I hurt myself mommy,
I know that it breaks your heart.
I know you don’t mean to scream at me mommy,
But I always give your nerves that jump-start.

So I’m really sorry mommy,
That I’m not what I should be,
I’m sorry for all I put you through,
And I hope you can forgive me.

Aww Karis, this is such a cute write. Sounds like one of mine, we do go through a lot of the same stuff though :) Afterall, we are cousins.
This was a really beautiful write though, well expressed, and I've been missing my Mom a lot lately so this made me cry for like the 900th time today, thanks though because I havent been able to for a long time.
I love the beginning of one of your stanzas:
"I’m so, so, sorry mommy,"
That's the line that set off my tears, great write please keep it up.

Your cuz,
.amanda.
