Array ( [sid] => 99190 [catid] => 1 [aid] => mick [title] => Anxiety [time] => 2005-06-24 10:34:46 [hometext] => I've been diagnosed with OCD and anxiety disorder ..blah.... i wrote this poem describing how i feel some days so i could make my therapist understand. crazy...dont ya think? [bodytext] => Fears without faces
Tears without traces
An irritably
my disability
Frozen stiff, unable to move
This isn’t something I have to prove
You can see me
I wake up screaming
I wake up crying
Trying to find some comfort
in the dark
In the mornings light, a dark
cloud is looming
The flowers blooming
then freezing in place
Anxiety is the cause
my curse
I’m falling apart
I know there is something out there
waiting to attack
I wish I had the power to fight back
The screaming in my head
the voices so real
I can’t control the way I feel
Anxiety.
Come take away my anxiety.

this was real good....one suggestion..if you are hearing voices in your head...you might need to be rediagnosed becasue that exceeds the scope of genralized anxiety disorder

Very well written. I know exactly what your speaking of. The constant chatter in my brain can be frustrating at times and then can be a source of inspiration. I was diagnosed years ago with anxiety/depression. Someone once told me to look at it as a gift, our minds travel places some folks will never know. Be kind to yourself. I have found music to be wonderfully healing as well as writing of course. I have written more than a few poems on the subject. Check me out. Much peace, Laura

wow girl, i just read all of your latest poems since the last one that i commented on....but since my computer is slow, im just commenting on them all here. I'm sorry that you feel that you have no one to talk to...and i have the same problem with my dad, so dont feel alone. If you do need to talk though, you know i'm here and you can email me with a big long message telling me whats wrong, and i'll respond. cuz you know thats what friends do. You still have great writing, and letting your anger "flow into ink onto paper" is a good way to let it out. but abusing yourself is only temporary. Keep yourself up, and i'll talk to you later.
Great job again on all of your posts!
Always,
Your Friend,
Courtney
