I sit on a swing,
All alone
Trying to find something,
To fill my hole
Once I thought my family,
Was all I needed
But one day I realized,
All of that had depleted
I have a friend,
I call my dad
But because of mom,
He is real sad
I have a mom,
Who has little despise
But because of hope,
She is not wise
My mom has a friend,
Who is a guy
But I would care less,
If he were to die
In my sister,
I once had a friend
But after today,
That all may end
I sometimes say things,
That gives me regrets
But my past hardships,
My family forgets
I’ve never had enough money,
To change my life
But I’ll give you all I have,
If you’ll take my strife
My heart and body,
Have a place to dwell
But my mind,
It lives in hell
I know that I must,
Try to keep going
But is seems as though lately,
My speed is slowing
I must find a place,
That I can call home
A place for my mind,
Body and soul
I want a companion,
Who I can love,
Because you see my heart,
Is as soft as a dove
If not, I’d like,
Someone to hold
That’s almost as good as love,
So I’m told
This is all I can say,
About my life
It’s full of fear,
Hope and strife
After writing this poem,
I’m quite afraid
Cause it feels like my heart,
Has been filleted
There are no more words,
To be expressed
So I will go to bed,
Cause I need the rest
I sit on a swing,
All alone
Trying to find something,
To fill my hole.

Sorry your first poem had to be about a sad time in your life, but sometimes it's these times that produce some of our best writes. Great job! ~R~
