Hurting themselves and others
Where has the lovely time gone?
When we lived like brothers

The heavens are polluted
The stars don’t seem bright
We are destroying the Earth
Can’t we stop this fight?

The lands are decaying
Oceans and lakes look so dry
Our Earth is dying
Even causing Gods to cry

Darwin proposed the evolution theory
Hell! We are on a route to De-evolution
Humans acting like monkeys
Killing precious nature by pollution

We people have to do something
Not just sit here and cry
Protest, fight or even kill
We should at least give it a try

But then who are asking for help
We are Humans for God’s sake
We wouldn’t help a dying God
Cause everything under our skin’s fake

So she decided it was her job now
With a voice that could cure
She was the last Mermaid Angel
The only one here left pure

Sitting on the smooth sea-rocks
Her blue tail shimmering in the sunlight
Her milky-white wings flapping slowly
She was the most beautiful sight

There was a moment of serene silence
Everything went for a sudden ‘time-out’
The whole Universe came to a halt
Everyone waiting to see what was it about

She sang in her ‘Healing Voice’
Reaching to the very last particle of Earth
Everything from living to the non-living
Was having a miraculous Re-birth

An invisible army fought the evil
The song spreading love and joy
Earth was having a healing makeover
And aren’t we happy about it boy?

The lands were filled with green again
The oceans were crystal clear blue
The air was a fresh gift to breath
Hearts were being bound by the toughest glue

She cried as she sang the ‘Healing’
He wings flapping quickly in the pain
Her blue tail had turned bright red now
But her effort should not go in vain

She was loosing too much water
Wouldn’t last till it was required
He body was drying up too fast
Her throat hurt and she was tired

She heard an underwater whistle
And suddenly knew it all
A killer- whale leaped into the air
And splashed the water with its fall

The effect of water was so rejuvenating
She sang with all her might
Every flower on the Earth blossomed
As her voice traveled at the speed of light

A fountain of water fell on the sea-rocks
As the whale exhaled through is blowhole
And people only thought about love then
From their hearts and their soul

A positive tremor was triggered
Sending a ‘Peace’ ripple on Mankind
Men kneeled and prayed to God
For acting so selfish and being blind

The Mermaid Angel stopped singing
As she saw the blissful picture
Her goal had now been attained
As she had secured Earth’s future

A hundred rainbows in a descending line
And between them a setting ‘Orange Sun’
A group of dolphins leaping into the air
Now that’s the Earth’s idea of fun

The Universe had started moving again
All its Galaxies traveling from West to East
Man had gone back to his routine now
But the Roman Gods were having a feast

The Earth was younger planet now
And it was ready to forgive
But man still was a selfish animal
He will hurt Earth till he would live

The Mermaid Angel wished for a Voice
That could cure the human brain
She was even ready to sing eternally
Until she would die from the pain

But God had made her a Mortal soul
She would be dead before any change
So she sat watching the sun sink in the ocean
The picture looked beautiful yet strange

This piece has beautiful moments, though there was a pretty head snapping transition in there and i feel like your rhyming was a bit forced, but all in all i felt this was worth the read.
