It seems this is not the worst of lives
But to me it comes pretty close
Bad enough to want to compromise
And a lot than the most
Maybe I'm looking at this
In the wrong way
Seeing my world ruled with an iron fist
And I don't have a say
I've heard of worse personally
I even leant my shoulder
I know they're pain and what they see
To them life seems much colder
It doesn't make me feel better
About my life or about myself
I keep my feelings in an unopened letter
Hiding my secrets on the highest shelf
