as I sit here in this chair
just relaxing in my little room
taking in the fresh air

my daughter got two pigs
& yes they are stinkin
she said I told her okay
what could I have been thinkin

I could have been thinkin of a ham
a pork chop or a rib
I think I got it figured out
so this is what I did

I named one of them pork chop
& the other bacon sue
my daughter said dad why did you name them that
what are you gonna do

I said I was gonna watch them grow till christmas
all the sudden she said damm
dad I know what you are thinkin
& that is not just a ham

I told her that I know this
with intent & so much pride
they are not just a ham
look at the bacon on the side

well by now no doupt she's mad
I'm now falling from my chair
sitting in my little room
taking in the fresh air
the hot shot poet
