Topic: LostLove

Pacing back and forth
You've turned me into an animal
Locked inside a cage
Staring eagerly between bars

I love you when you remember to feed me
Your tall tales of love
Remember all the times you left me here to die
Remember every time I had to put on a show for you
You know I hate it when you lie to me
Remember all those nice things that you said to me
Remember when I was screaming in my head

Find the key you buried in a hole
Next to the grave of who I used to be
It's a shame to be locked up with all of this air to breathe
Let me shed myself of you
Let me grow new skin
Maybe when I'm free and new
I can finally be with you
I can't exist inside a cage for you

This is very deep and the sentiment seems to be of a love that has died or one filled with abuse. In either case it is well written

I have no words other than you did an excellent job expressing what this feeling is like.

Emotive piece. Well done.

Very deep and personal :)
