For too long this moment had hung in the shadows
Dormant passing thought awakened like wintered bear
Consuming all focus, poisoning passivity into action
Bleeding the vein of sensibility, filling it with impulse

The balanced mind screamed against action
Yet compulsion chewed away the fibres of reason
A sense of duty perhaps, smeared with thick foreboding
Lot drawn, now to suffer the consequence of fate

One path, forward, barred from return by events in motion
Destined to be the catalyst and so it had begun
The contract freely entered now became the noose
Trepidation tightening its grip, purpose struggling against all odds

Time, the harbinger of expectation, seemed to slow
In taunting defiance, seconds ticked like centuries
Stilled air menaced by faint echoes in the distance
Staring into the blackness, punctured by brief flickers

Glimpses of hope, possibilities in hues yet to see fruition
Silence cast its long veil, painted known to uncertain
Through the darkness light finally crawled out
Rebirth offered forth its name, welcome to WINDOWS 10

Now that was an immense journey that had me hooked, then tied up, hooked again, confused then lucid and it all came to a brilliant end of faint laughter. I did not know if I should laugh or read it all over again. You got me good. A superb journey and a fun filled one at the last sentence. A rollercoaster of unique and positive verbiage. Well done- well done indeed- lol
