Making the Best of It

Contributed by softerware on Monday, 7th August 2017 @ 01:45:07 PM in AEST
Topic: InspirationalPoems

While most select with some regret;
The life long work they choose;
A few will make the steps it takes
To love the work they do.

They seek their call; give up their all;
As we might choose a lover;
Who so inspires such fierce desires;
That you could have no other.

A mistress who owns all of you
Who leaves you drained and spent;
Invades your sleep, that you should keep;
Her appetites content.

How swift they say, when work is play;
A mistress unsurpassed;
With none to choose the path you use;
On dreams youve yet to cash.

So true. The economy has ruined many a dream.
But this is another lovely write and full of wisdom.

How so very true. Nowadays we work out of necessity instead of want and in today/'/s world the jobs we have we want to keep due to their scarcity. And with that fact goes to show that Washington is lying to us everyday that they say the economy is improving and getting stronger. So many of us, me included, have yet to see proof of it. But another great write my friend.

nothing is true in a sense
unless
it takes luck along with wherewithal
it takes privilege - not given
by happenstance automatically
in very few instances
if you think its all perseverance you
are ignorant to this world, this I damn
well know.

fight fight fight, takes a tough tough tough
fight. You do not know poor, if you never seen true
poor and what it means.

preaching to the choir is fine
but the choir for the most part
is seemingly lost, so we got to fight

Peace!

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
