Emotional Volcanology

Contributed by nightwolf on Sunday, 14th January 2018 @ 12:23:41 PM in AEST
Topic: EmotionalPoetry

I can/'/t recall the last time
more than a drop or two
escaped my eyes.

Much sadness and grief
repressed over the years,
building like gasses
under the earth/'/s crust,
mixing with molten rage
inside the hardened chambers
of my body.
Slowly,
pressure builds
as magma boils;
ever climbing temperatures,
impossible to contain.
Churning in my chest,
pushing upward,
burning my throat,
forcing itself to the peak,
building behind my eyes;
face red from the heat.
I feel ready to erupt,
but only a small release
and pressure subsides.

These small releases
become more frequent,
and I know
it/'/s only a matter of time
until I erupt entirely.

Good poem
keep flowing and releasing that silent scream
emotional torture will kill you
if you do not release it....

Much sadness and grief
repressed over the years,
building like gasses
underneath the earth//'//s crust,
Phreatic eruption like Mount St. Helen/'/s
no less, no more.
We are talking pyroclastic flow;
a dense, destructive mass of very hot ash, lava fragments, and gases ejected explosively from a volcano and typically flowing downslope at great speed.

you seem to be talking mild volcanic releases,
but I think you mean, Pyroclastic intent
the small flow tubes of magma
churn over time. No small release of gases
changes the the magma flow and inevitably
baboom, the only way to save face is with
human sacrifice delivered to the great
volcano
And the hard part is this,
you have to find somebody willing.

Peace!
