Evening Fall

Contributed by softerware on Saturday, 13th April 2019 @ 03:53:16 AM in AEST
Topic: NaturePoetry

Ragged shreds. Linen sky. Faded bluejean clouds deny
Lamplit windows. Dying sun. Velvet black the shadows come.
Pool of moonlight. Slow to sky. Trusted ancient lullaby.
Older, wiser, you than I.

i love this, and will reread it a number of times until I am satisfied I have discerned the intent. I could end up wrong ab out YOUR intention, but if I formulate a concept of value to ME, then I am not wrong at all.

Here the days watch me fade into the shadows of the clouded sun. What great fun. Loved the flow you know.

This reminds of stormy day where storm clouds turn
blue skies gray while lying on a bed listening
to the rain drops play an ever changing tune upon a tin
roof. Until evening falls and the storm clears and as
moonlight pours through a bedroom window the night
time silence is broken by the song of crickets

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
