Topic: LovePoetry

love used to be so fleeting
something so defeating
after all this time you still make me smile
Iím okay on my own
because Iíve come to know
how easy it is to sink back into you

there is no fear
I see so clear
weíll stay right here
year after year

you are my safest place
your hands, your skin, your face
Iíve been in love with you since last summer
there is no one like you
no one else who would do
Iím in love with the way you love me too

the life we make
our give and take
golden daybreak
weíre wide awake

these things I have to face
I can endure with grace
because I know youíre always on my side
got my back, I got yours
so no oneís keeping score
and I know in the end Iíll be okay

so I will write
on darkest nights
of love so bright
youíre my daylight

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
