Topic: abstract

Born and raised in the UK
North west is where we play
Before mobile phones
Before the internet
We used our imagination
My brain is a creative capsule
No charger needed for this tool

We used pens and pencils
We played with dirt and tar
We swung over brooks on ropes
We smoked

Hand me some more Lego bricks
I am creating a space ship
To escape the people they call the human race
Slap another tape in the boom box
It is dance off time
Practising in the mirror is not a crime
I am an old schooler

I remember the old days, whatever happened to Raleigh Choppers and Penny for the Guy
I wonder if these days kids know what they are missing out on with the proliferation of video games, social media and everything else..........just feels so hollow

Poetry is much like a great photo, a single "moment in time" capturing many feelings and emotions. Yet, they are very alive; creating stirrings within the readers who form visual "pictures" of the expressed emotions within the Poem. ©
