My Days Go On By

Contributed by jamesstockdale on Friday, 28th August 2020 @ 02:31:09 PM in AEST
Topic: Lifepoems

I`m living a story yet told
Full of pain and hurt
Growing forever old
Nothing left to behold
Living life to me
Was never enough
A timid soul
Mingling among the tough
As my days go on by
Sometimes I wonder why I even try
No one knows the tears I cry
For they will forever remain hidden deep inside
Until the day I shall die

Notes:
These poems are what comes to me. Nothing new, of course, and many today have it rough.
These do not reflect my state of mind, but I genuinely believe someone somewhere feeds their pain to us via poetry.

//@ your notes. Of that, I have no doubt.

I`m glad this isn`t your current state of mind but it is quite philosophical.

Thank you,

This is certainly a relatable sentiment, especially before poets find a way to make pain pretty enough to share, in a way that doesn/'/t hurt anyone else. You/'/ve done that here too. Appreciate the share.

I think this is solid poetry,
when a person talks, they
speak outward towards the sky,
where else could anyone be
but inwards, towards the soul,
inwards, trying best one could
towards hope.
The sky, all the stars,
start with ones mind.
yeah, it/'/s an old canvassed
world, where billions of people
reside.
When you try to hold onto you,
you are actually holding onto me.
Those stars out in the night sky
all seem so unique.
It is almost like each one could
tell its own unique story.
You will be better off telling
yourself that you will be okay
I have absolutely now way
of telling you how,
except to say that I feel
quite the same way as you do.
Maybe I/'/m only saying that
I don/'/t wish to see myself
suffer, or maybe
I care about others
just as much as I do
about myself and that
can hurt even worse.
peace!
