I can’t believe what my eyes can see
feel you fluttering so silently
I’ll hold my breath
remember not to hold on too tight
‘cause so few things in life are just right
but hope whispers
I imagine what it would be like
just to see that dream within my sights
I don’t dare speak
‘cause secrets, they keep you safe sometimes
any other choice would risk that I
might
just
shatter

The spacing on the last few lines is brilliant, suspenseful. |

I/'/ve been gone for a long time, and scrolling down, your name was familiar.
This was a nice poem to come back to. It/'/s soft and gently, hopeful, and flows so well.
Wonderfully done.
