BED TIME PRAYER

A little girl is kneeling beside her mommy’s bed
Her daddy stands and watches and than he bows his head
He wraps his arms around her as the tears they start to flow
For her mommy went to heaven just a little while ago
Now she’s talking to her mommy she thinks that she can see
If there’s a God in heaven oh please let it be

Weep for the children Oh weep for the children
Weep for the children that cry out in the night

I can see you mommy I can see you now
Mommy you’re so pretty are you wings made out of gold?
I can see your halo it’s shining oh so bright
Mommy was it Jesus that held my hand last night
Are you one of God’s angels does daddy know your there?
If you’ll come home now mommy I’ll say my bed time prayers

Weep for the children oh weep for the children
Weep for the children that cry out in the night
