"DOUBLE THE DOSE"

"What if it doesn't work?" I inquired?
Then "Double the Dose" the Dr. said.
For LOVE is a healer, he incurred.
"Love is indispensible, that's what I've read."

"Regardless of age, culture, language or race
All humans have a hunger for love's embrace.
If that hunger is not satisfied, unhappy they will be.
For Love and Intimacy are the root to being sick
or well, we all agree!"

The lack of Love will bring on sadness
If you have love, you will heal with gladness,
If only a new drug had the same impact,
Every Dr. would be recommending it intact!

More emphasis is placed in our society
On wealth, power, fame, and sex than on Love.
Not on warm loving relationships, with much beauty!
Humans thrive on warm Love especially from above.

An educated ancient writer once observed
Human nature requires Love, happiness preserved.
A gifted, loveless human he likened to
a sounding piece of brass or clashing cymbal.
Wealthy, even famous, but never truly happy, or cheerful.

Jesus had a profound understanding of humans
Love for God and your neighbor topped his list!
Loving your neighbor as yourself, love deepens
You must also love yourself, for love to persist!

How though, does one cultivate love in today's world?
This world we live in is not centered on Love unfurled.
How do we know how to Love?
As parents we must teach our children to love.
with help from above.
