You stole words from poets
To pursue me, woo me
Til you thieved me too
And when you had me
Safely nestled
In the pocket of your soul
Didn't you drape those
Sonnets bout my succumbing heart
Lulled me to the lilt and language
That talked themselves
Into a beautiful us.
Ah but when the silence fell around us
And you wre tied to lies
Without a tongue to speak your way out
Wasn't I the first to know
Your plagiary of feelings
Wasn't I the first to see
The crime committed with
A false voice
And worse
A false heart.
