My HomePage: If I could rip off my gills to find a desert bloom I would
Sprout legs and pull out of this familiar current if I could
From water to sand,I''d breathe in the land-do you think I should?
If I made my way through the sand with my knees dragging my feet
I''d hide from the sun under cool grains to keep myself discreet
The desert''s hue will pull me through when I''m caught in the sun''s eye
When I give up and choke on dust it will still urge me to try
When my grain of sand turns into a pearl I know you''ll be there
As you were with me in the water and the harsh desert air
